Easter Ale and Cider Festival 2025

Friday 18 April - Monday 21 April

A message from Deana,

What can me and my team say other than a massive thank you to everyone who attended our 2024 real and cider festival over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend . This year saw the busiest first 2 days of any festival we have ever held.

We started Friday with 3 casks of real ale on the bar and a further 12 on the stillage (that’s 1080 pints if you are wondering) by 9.00pm Saturday, all 15 casks had been drunk by our real ale aficionados.

However fear not, we hadn't run out of ales, contrary to comments on Facebook and visitors to the pub.  We had just sold out of the 12 on the stillage and the 3 original casks that were on the bar.  There were plenty more casks ready to go on the bar.

As I'm sure everyone realises the cask ales we serve here at our festival aren't racked bright (we need to give our precious beer time to settle, we only do hazy if it is supplied by the breweries hazy!.  It would have been impossible for us to replace the 12 casks on the stillage and have them ready for days 3 & 4 of our festival, as it takes at least 48 hours for the ales to settle ready for us to serve them at our very high standards.

Once again, thank you for your supporting the Junction Tavern,  Portsmouth and South East CAMRA Pub of the Year 2023 & 2024 and we look forward to seeing you again soon (preferably before the next ale festival).  I have some amazing beers in my cellar waiting to tantalise your taste buds.
